Locations[]
- Speur Mara
- Dàibheadh Domhainn
- Nathair River
- Lake Amar
- Oirthir Dùdach
Society[]
There are villages and settlements that are sparsely scattered throughout the mountain range that depend on the sea, the valley, the river and the lake for food. There are often fishing boats found with markings signifying which village it belongs to moored along the shores. A popular sport among the inhabitants, particularly the youth, is wing soaring; a sport where one ties or sews cloth tightly to various parts of their tunic or armor and leaps of the cliff, using the drag created from drafts from the mountain and sea to carry them along down the mountain at incredible speeds. When they reach near the base of the mountain, they typically deploy a large cloth from a tightly belted back-holstered satchel that safely slows down their descent. It is a highly dangerous but thrilling sport, even the young witcheresses of the Siren Keep were known to partake in it. There are those who have even made "flightsuits" designed specifically for the sport.
Notes & Trivia[]
- The mountain range is based on the Himalayas.
- Wing soaring is based on the real life sport of wingsuit flying.
