The Strigoi are a race of vampires that appears in the Northern Kingdoms and the Far East sometime after the Conjunction of the Spheres which happened in around 230s BR. With a few specimens, present both in the Eastern Continent and the Western Continent.
They're distant relatives of the Nosferat and within the ranking of lesser vampires are those who possess higher intelligence, very similar to humans.
Physiology[]
Human form[]
In most cases, with very rare exceptions, they have red hair and red eyes in their human form. Those who do not possess these traits, it is because they possess some Nosferat ancestor since both species of vampires can procreate. In their human form, except for their hair and eye color, they tend to have very pale skin, much paler than the Nosferat, resembling albinos to some extent.
This has led, in many communities in the Far East, to albinism or red-headedness being considered a curse and such people being persecuted.
Vampire form[]
In appearance, they are very similar to the Nosferat, so much so that, some scholars, such as the witcher known as Warritt, did not consider them as a distinct species in his studies while others, such as Elcon of Roseberg, do.
In their vampiric form, they are somewhere between the vampiric aspect of a Higher Vampire and a Nosferat. Possessing neither the soft skins of the first, nor the hairy appearance of the second, but somewhere in between.

Racial Abilities[]
- Vampire Physiology: The Strigoi is a type of lesser vampire as such it has some vampiric abilities.
- Blood Consumption: The Strigoi have the power to gain power from blood usually by ingestion.
- Blood Absorption: The Strigoi have the power to absorb blood to temporarily increase their abilities.
- Blood Empowerment: The Strigoi possess the power to gain strength from the ingestion of blood.
- Blood Consumption: The Strigoi have the power to gain power from blood usually by ingestion.
- Longevity: The Strigoi possess an extended lifespan, allowing them to live longer than a normal human; as a result of their species.
- Natural Weaponry: As a vampire and a highly advanced predatory species vampires including the Strigoi have the power to utilize weapons that are a natural part of one's own body.
- Claw Retraction: The Strigoi possess claws, which are easily capable of piercing flesh.
- Fang Retraction: The Strigoi possess long and sharp retractable fangs for biting and feeding.
- Powerful Bite: The Strigoi have an incredibly powerful bite easily able to pierce flesh and access blood.
- Otherworldly Language: The Strigoi naturally speak the Vampire language which sounds to humans as a silent, shrill, and sickening inhuman language.
Magical Abilities[]
- Limited Shapeshifting: The Strigoi have two forms a human form that they disguise themselves in while traveling among mortals and their true vampire form. A Strigoi can also partially transform parts of their body while disguised resulting in the following abilities.
- Enhanced Hearing: Large bat-like ears for superhuman hearing.
- Enhanced Smell: A bat-like nose for smelling blood and chemicals.
- Enhanced Vision: A set of eyes allowing the Strigoi to see in the dark. These eyes glow when used.
- Wallcrawling: Using their claws and supernatural brute strength a Strigoi is able to cling to walls and ceilings in both their human and hybrid-vampire forms.
Behaviors[]
Strigoi live in family groups but will go out to hunt solitarily with only one exception: if they think they are in danger they will attack in numbers. They usually hunt by entering a home and killing them there leading a bloody scene worthy of a Lesser Vampire. The Strigoi serve as an odd midpoint in the Vampire Hierarchy of the Gharasham Tribe being intelligent enough to possibly be considered a Higher Class Vampire, but barbaric and weak enough to still be counter among the numbers of the Lesser.

The saliva of vampires is an alchemical ingredient of the Sol family as such can be used for potions and processing into the alchemical substance known as Pure Sol.
Vampire Teeth[]
The teeth (particularly the fangs) of vampires is an alchemical ingredient of the Caelum family as such can be used for potions and processing into the alchemical substance known as Pure Caelum.
Rumors[]
- In the eastern territories, there is a belief that the Strigoi are the souls of the dead who come out of their graves to terrorize people.
Notes[]
- The Strigoi are closely related to the Ammurun Tribe's Moroi, though it should be noted that Moroi are gifted with the power of blood magic.
