Shenlong, or Shén Lóng as it is known in the region of Bia Thin (Imperial Speech: 神龙) (approx. 4000 BR), and also known in the Tuyotuki Islands as Shinryū (Tuyotukian: 神龍), is a tatsu or Eastern Dragon with a strong magical affinity for the Elemental Plane of Water and the Elemental Plane of Air. As such, he, like other Eastern Dragons, has developed powerful magical abilities, in his case, related to these specific elemental planes. Due to his appearance and his potent magical powers, Shenlong has long been revered as a deity by the inhabitants of Bia Thin and the eastern archipelago, both human and non-human.

Early life[]
Shenlong claims to have been born around 4000 years before the First Conjunction of the Spheres. During what Nordling scholars refer to as The Age of Jade (4,129,042 BR - 2700 BR), Shenlong was part of the first generation of Eastern Dragons. This generation marked an evolutionary step beyond the golden dragons. Although the precise location of his origin is unknown, Shenlong believes it was either the Tuyotuki Islands or the coast of Bia Thin. Unlike their golden ancestors, these new dragons lacked golden scales and wings, instead developing into massive, serpentine beings with horns and beards. They forged a profound connection with the Elemental and Para-Elemental Planes, which granted them diverse and potent magical abilities but also made them somewhat reliant on these planes.
Abilities[]
Before the advent of magic with the First Conjunction, Shenlong's abilities were less potent. He often had to assume other forms and travel to specific locations where Ard Gaeths were present in order to access energies from other planes, which were accessible in other worlds before returning. This journey took him to various places, such as the sphere of Earth and, more specifically, the continent of Asia. Following the Conjunction, his powers grew significantly. Like their golden dragon ancestors, Shenlong possesses superior, human-like intelligence and the ability to shapeshift into various forms, including that of a human. However, unlike golden dragons, Eastern Dragons like Shenlong do not have the ability to breathe fire, as this ability is only present in Eastern Dragons that are connected to the Elemental Plane of Fire or related Para-Elemental Planes, such as that of Magma. In Shenlong’s case, his powerful abilities are closely tied to the planes he is connected with. He can harness the destructive and creative powers of water and air at will. Some of his abilities include:
- Hydrokinesis: Shenlong can control and manipulate water in all its forms. This includes summoning and shaping water, creating powerful waves, and even commanding rain or fog. His control over water allows him to both heal and devastate, depending on his intent.
- Aero-kinetic Manipulation: He has mastery over the air, enabling him to generate powerful winds, storms, and even control atmospheric pressure. This ability also allows him to fly with great speed and agility, creating air currents that can lift or propel objects and creatures.
- Weather Manipulation: Shenlong can influence weather patterns, including summoning thunderstorms, hurricanes, and gentle breezes. His influence over the weather is so profound that he can alter local climates and weather conditions to suit his needs.
- Water and Air Shields: He can conjure protective barriers of water or air to defend against physical and magical attacks. These shields can be used to deflect projectiles, absorb impacts, and create safe zones.
- Elemental Fusion: Shenlong can combine the powers of water and air to create unique and potent elemental effects. For example, he can generate steam to scald enemies or create dense fog to obscure vision and disorient foes.
- Healing Waters: He has the ability to purify and heal using water, creating restorative springs or pools that can mend wounds and cure ailments.
- Tidal Wave Creation: Shenlong can summon massive tidal waves capable of overwhelming entire landscapes, reshaping environments and causing great devastation when necessary.
Shenlong can also use any of the human or elven spells based on this elements. However, despise how powerful it is, Shenlong has many weakness, some of them are:
- Dimeritium: This anti-magical metal can impede Shenlong’s ability to use his magical powers. However, it must be present in significant quantities to be effective.
- Semi-Close Ard Gaeths: As reported by Shenlong to the School of the Crane grandmasters, particularly when he initiated a relationship with Halsey "The Basan," one of their alumni and adopted daughter, certain locations can significantly affect his powers. The Mad Sea, for instance, is a region where the semi-close state of a Ard Gaeth has caused disruptions in magical energy. As a result, Shenlong's powers become unpredictable and unstable in such environment. In one moment, they can be intensely potent, unleashing formidable displays of elemental force. The next moment, however, they may wane dramatically, leaving him vulnerable or unable to fully harness his abilities. Regarding the Mad Sea, even the clouds formed in that part of the ocean can affect him.
