A Plumard is a vampiric creature that resembles a hybrid of a bat with a fat rat they are known for swarming their prey in large numbers. Unlike higher vampire cousins, Plumards are vulnerable to the light of the sun.
Plumards exist at the bottom of the hierarchy of the Gharasham Tribe, with some higher ranked vampires of the tribe keeping them as pets alongside the dog like Dip and the cat like Grirkek.

Vampire/Bat/Rat Hybrid Physiology[]
As a creature that is a vampire with the physiology resembling a hybridization of a bat and a rat, a Plumard has the abilities that would result in such a combination.
Aerial Adaptation[]
Plumards are able to survive and adapt to extremely high or low air pressure (not becoming disoriented or deprived of the normal breathing capacity), and high wind friction; this is accompanied by an innate immunity to vertigo and/or fear of heights.
Blood Consumption[]
Plumards have the ability to gain sustenance and strength from blood usually by ingestion.
Climbing/Wallcrawling[]
Using their claws Plumards are able to climb and otherwise move effortlessly and smoothly on angled and/or vertical surfaces, able to take advantage of any handholds they find, no matter how small, on trees, rocks, walls, etc.
Echolocation[]
Plumards can emit sound waves and use the echoes that return from various objects to locate and identify the objects. Alternately, they can use ambient sounds to do the same. Since this ability isn't based on sight/light, Invisibility is useless against it, as are most forms of Camouflage. A Plumard can perceive it's surroundings by making a noise and listening for the reverberating sound waves. They can determine the location of objects or other individuals in the environment by use of reflected sound or sound waves.
Wing Manifestation[]
Plumards possess a set of wings which feature a set of gripping fingers, these wings allow Plumards to fly.

By flapping their wings, Plumards are able to fly through the air.

The saliva of vampires is an alchemical ingredient of the Sol family as such can be used for potions and processing into the alchemical substance known as Pure Sol.
Vampire Teeth[]
The teeth (particularly the fangs) of vampires is an alchemical ingredient of the Caelum family as such can be used for potions and processing into the alchemical substance known as Pure Caelum.
Wing Membrane[]
The wing membrane of vampires is an alchemical ingredient of the Rebis family as such can be used for potions and processing into the alchemical substance known as Pure Rebis.
