The Meru Kingdom, better known as Musois Naros, is the dokkaebi kingdom located in the southern region of Bia Thin, near Ketu Rahu. The name "Meru" arose from a misunderstanding of the original pronunciation when its existence was reported by Nordling explorer Fabio Sachs during the early 1280s, thanks to the Ketukians, during the time he and his expeditionaries spent in Ketu Rahu prior to their visit to the Tuyotuki Islands. Later on, this name was adopted by both Nordling and Nilfgaardian scholars.
History[]
Origin[]
The early history of the kingdom of Meru is unknown, with most of it falling into the realm of myth and legend. What is known is that at some point prior to the First Conjunction of the Spheres, a faction of the goblin subspecies known as dokkaebis, pushed back from the conflicts of their goblin cousins with other races, arrived in the territory of modern-day Meru from what is now the Northern Kingdoms. Another faction, as later reported by archaeological evidence, migrated towards the Asatta Peninsula.
It is believed, that at this point, they found humans in the region, who changed the nomadic dokkaebi way of life to a settled one, creating the pilars of the future Meru kingdom.
It is also believed, that this humans, later on, would mix with the dokkaebis giving rise to what Nordling and Nilfgaardian scholars describe and classified as half-goblings, who in modern-day Meru, are small part of the inhabitants of this kingdom.
Goverment[]
The political system of Meru is similar to that of Zerrikania, in the sense that it is a matriarchal and matrilineal feudal kingdom. TBA

Economy[]
The economy in the Meru Kingdom is primarily agrarian, with work centered around farming tasks such as raising livestock and growing crops, including grains and potatoes. Pasture farming is also popular in Meru, where they often breed yaks, water buffalo, sheep, goats, and poultry. Fishing is common around the lake located in the center of the kingdom. Manufacturing and mining are not prevalent due to the rugged and sharp terrain, and because the inhabitants make their own tools and furniture.
The people are largely self-sufficient in terms of diet, producing enough for their daily needs. Domestic economies tend to be barter-based; however, there is a currency in the kingdom to facilitate import and export activities.

Language[]
The earliest language employed in the Meru Kingdom was likely the goblin language, who evolved into the Museian language, as later on, it was reported to contain many derivative words from this tongue. Other languages that likely influenced it were the Imperial Speech of Bia Thin and the languages present in neighboring countries. Creoles may have existed at some point, but in modern-day Meru, they are not present anymore.
