After magic was taught or discovered by humans (depending on the region), schools were established to teach those who showed interest or potential in it. Mage schools, therefore, are places where individuals are educated in the use of magic. Despite setbacks suffered by mages in different periods of history, such as the Witch Hunts in the Northern Kingdoms or the Vinkald Trials in Vinland, these schools continued to exist and eventually resumed teaching.
