The event known as the Conjunction of the Spheres was a multiversal cataclysmic event which affected the whole of the Multiverse and occurred 1,500 years in the World's timeline before the events in the Witcher novels, trapping many "unnatural" and non-native creatures into The World's dimension, creatures and beings such as ghouls, graveirs, and vampires. During this event, several dimensional rifts were created by the collision of the many different realms and realities into one another, this occurrence filled the world of that originally only had gnomes and dwarves with hundreds of creatures of all shapes and sizes, as well as a mystical connection to magical elemental planes that would in time come to be known as "chaos" , the "force" or "magic".
Differences to The World[]
The force known as Magic which before the Conjunction was only used by the Elven survivors known as the Aen Seidhe, went from its primitive almost druidic state, to a more powerful elemental form found in the 'chaotic' magics of the elemental planes. Magic seeped out into plants and animals of The World, forever changing some species.
